Factors affecting the utilization of solar energy: An approach to sustainable rural development in Iran

This study was conducted to investigate the role of factors affecting utilization solar energy for sustainable rural development Zanjan Province. The statistical population in this households who used technology Province, and 210 were selected as a sample using Kerjesi & Morgan’s table. data collection tool questionnaire. face content validity questionnaire confirmed by panel experts before pre-test. reliability research also conducting pre-test among thirty people other than calculating Cronbach’s alpha main scales (in range 0.72–0.90). Data analyzed SPSS24 AMOS22. structural equation modeling. results showed positive significant relationship between educational, socio-cultural, policymaking, environmental energy, these variables explained 37% variance dependent variable. However, weak observed economic technical with energy. finding has some meaningful policy implications. costs, sunlight coverage, efficiency systems have caused be considered suitable alternative providing electricity heating areas Iran.
